Welcome to Year 2

The Year 2 team is Mrs Wareing (Class Teacher)
and Mrs Stanley ( LSA).

This year we will look to Be Kind, Be Calm and Be Respectful in all that we do.   In Year 2, we will help children enjoy learning, become more independent and develop their resilience when faced with challenges.

Our PE day is a Thursday. Please send the children into school in their PE kits.

Reading books should be sent into school each day and are changed on a Friday. Each Tuesday, Red and Green Words will be sent home. Please practise these with your children as they help to improve their fluency when reading. Please read with your child each night and write in their reading diary.  This will help them achieve their bronze, silver and gold reading awards.

Homework will be sent home on a Wednesday to be returned by the following Monday. This may be a paper or IT based activity.
