Applying for Primary School for September 2025 & September 2026

If your child turns four on or between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025, he or she can start primary school in September 2025.

The online application form is available from St Helens Local Authority School Admissions website.

Please read the St Helens Primary Education Booklet (PDF) [4MB], which contains useful information about the application process, including: how places will be allocated, definition of home address and how late applications will be dealt with.

If your reside in the Wigan Local Authority, please read their Primary Booklet 2026-27 which contains all the information about applying for schools outside of Wigan.
